The Turtle Bay Museum-Redding. Well we didn't see any turtles, or a bay, but we did have a great time at this museum while dad was in his watercourse crossings workshop in Redding on our way to visit grammy and papa in SoCal.

They had great art, fountains and sculptures all around and tons of fun exibits like an authentic native american "bark house" with fur mats and digital stories you could choose with buttons.

There were tons of little paths and fun displays. There were raptors in cages and a large play area where the kids got to be osprey in a nest. They also got to see logging/milling/mining demonstrations and play on lots of them.

There were cool live fish as well as models of stream channels and bottoms. There was also a wonderful garden/plant walk on the other side of the bridge, but unfortunately we saved it for last and the boys were shot.

Nolan took this picture of Caleb in my arms after he fell asleep. We excavated a block for 'dinosaur bones' that we got from a friend for birthdays. We only got one bone before the boys lost patience, but hopefully we'll get the rest out of there little by little!

Spring is coming!! I've got some tiny irises popping out as well as the Crocus and primrose. The boys are trying to help me get some mulch spread because the weeds are coming too! I've not even finished my winter pruning yet. Dad set up the new wheelbarrow we got with our Costco rebate-two wheels!

The boys are in another round of swim lessons. They were making a lot of progress when they were with their buddies, but alone they aren't listening to their teacher very well. They still look very cute.

Loren and I are taking advantage of a gymnastics place where you can drop off 3-5 yr olds from 6-8:30pm

We had a get together at Big Lagoon with some other friends with March birthdays. There was a lot of kite flying and dogs running around. Everybody had a lot of fun.

A few random photos....Here are a few random shots. Caleb's first photograph he's taken with the camera is of me crawling on the floor. He got much better and actually got me centered after 3 shots. Caleb dressed as Loren in the hat and lumber jack shirt. The boys shaving-not sure who Caleb showers with the most-it appears he's shaving his legs! Some recent art. Nolan camping (that's a tent-not a volcano) with trees and sky. Caleb in a hotel room door. The theme was "vacation" as they were studying the letter "v".

Mommy and big boy ski trip!! Nolan and I got to go on an overnight ski trip to Shasta with his best buddy Cole and his mommy Amanda. The little brothers stayed home with daddys. We got in pretty late on Friday but enjoyed a nice dinner and our hotel suite. The boys started off in their sleeping bags on the floor, but ended up in the mommys' beds.

It wasn't hard to get the boys ready, except they kept wanting to play in the snow outside. Nolan even helped put his own sunscreen on (while watching the cartoon network on the cable TV). Learning to ski didn't really go all that well. There was a great deal of whining and complaining and we had to walk alot since the rope tow was way too difficult for them to use. We did manage to make it down the bunny hill all in one piece multiple times though. They finally had a small lesson and did really well. It was really cold on the mountain so they were ready to jump in the car and get home!

Superbowl fun. Well I can't say we are big football fans or that I even watched any of the game....but we did enjoy hanging out with friends! We got to hang out at the Harvey's house and the kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline and playing upstairs with all the toys. Loren and I also got to go out for the annual company dinner and had a good time. The boys have gotten to have their best buddies over for movie night too. They watched "The pirates of tortuga" cartoon and ate popcorn.
