The last couple of months...

Nolan had a visit from the dentist at his school and got new toothbrushing stuff and disclosure tabs that the boys can chew and it turns their mouth purple. Once they rinse it show pink where they didn't brush well

They also had to get their allergy testing done. They cried more before going in to get their shots than they did after then got them. I had to give them quite a few tissues. No allergies though. Yeah!

Otherwise the weather has been OK and we've had some playdates. I set up the big tent in the backyard for them to play in. Nolan has been taking piano lessons at school and is doing well. We went to the zoo one day and saw all of their new displays.

They boys had a performance for Valentines Day and Nolan made me this cool necklace. Caleb got his hair cut because he wanted 'spiky hair'.

Dad came to visit and we painted the living room and put new carpet in the living room. Nolan loved the old green carpet and light blue walls, but I wasn't that into them. The carpet we used was from the Alternative Building Center and it is really neat. All recycled material and can be recycled as well. The squares can be pulled up if they get ruined and washed or replaced.

Slowly catching up...

It's been awhile, but here are some updates. Some pics of the boys back in the end of 2008.

Nolan did an amazing job in the play the school performed. It was a take on the story "A Christmas Carol". Nolan not only got the message and relayed his understanding of being generous and kind, but also broke out of his shell a bit in his performance. Mr. Cushman, the director of the play said, "Nolan's got some moves!" He definately showed some of his great skills at keeping a bit and groovin'

Nolan is showing his personality in other ways. He's really becoming a comedian. He's posing for a shot here. He's getting dramatic with his lightsaber fighting and kickboxing. Got some more pics but they're sideways and I haven't flipped them yet. I don't have a good photo program right now and I need to get one soon.

Caleb and Nolan each got to make their own special Christmas tree cakes and decorate them. Surprisingly, they didn't even want to eat them. They both tried and there was so much sugar none of us could stand to eat them.

Caleb is coming into his own unique personality. He's getting better about cleaning up, listening and following directions in general. He's also becoming quite a ham. Here he is doing some funky dance moves at Agate Beach when we went for a hike and collected rocks for Nolan's collection.

As much as it rains here, we don't actually see that many rainbows. Saw this one a couple of weeks ago in Arcata. It was actually a full one with a small double, but I couldn't get it all with my lame camera phone.

They had twin day at the school and Nolan was twins with Ethan. It's amazing that they're the same age, but Ethan wore Caleb's shirt. My what big boys I have. I'm still doing my parent hours on Friday and there is Mrs. Zalac showing them how to do their art project.

Two different days and two shots with Ema, who is I think younger than Nolan and bigger. She will be a tall girl.

Nolan and I went to the rock, gem and mineral show and bought some new treasures. We had a great time.

Soccer pics from last summer...

Here are a few pics off a CD from soccer last summer. There was one cute pic of Caleb sucking his thumb with his blanky too. Never can have enough of those.

Random updates

The boys had a great time with the styrofoam that came with my new TV and stereo. This is just the beginning. By the end it looked like it had snowed in my house.

I have been putting my parent hours in at the school and got to take the kids on a walk one day. It was a great experience and they made me the most amazing thank you cards.

I took the boys to the zoo one day and we had a great time. They are charging an entrance fee now, but it's worth it.

We made a few things for Halloween, have been to the gym and to Bouncapalooza a few times. My cell phone takes horrible pictures, especially in low light, but you can see the action at least.

The rain is here and we've been collecting water samples. It's not really difficult work and pretty fun actually. The hardest part is getting down to the creeks sometimes through the nettles and berry bushes. They found a body in Luffenholtz creek earlier this year. Hopefully there won't be any more of those! There's Stephanie looking professional!
