There are pirates in our house! The boys are definately in a pirate stage now. Spiderman and hotwheels are still around right now, but pirates are the favorite of the month. We've still got our pirate treasure (although Nolan dumped most of it in the sandbox-fun to treasure hunt in there now) and our pirate costumes. They haven't seen the movies yet, but they know who Jack Sparrow is. They're both really into their bikes and scooters and painting etc.

My friend Aimee and I went to the fair and we had a fun time on the rides and looking at the animals. She sent me these shots. I know my hair is at an ackward stage, but hopefully it will come out of it soon. I tried to layer it and it never works out. Like the bangs though and it's finally getting longer-yeah!

We also went to a really fun party at our friends (The Zambas-isn't that the greatest last name!) Niko and Maya were celbrating their birthday and they had a fun treasure hunt and great pirate games. We painted swords and threw darts and had a water balloon canon fight with ships and everything.

It's been great to have the deck and we're almost done and ready to landscape. I had to clip the chickens wings because they've been enjoying the deck the most and it's really not fun to share with them. They've been confined to their own yard now.

A few August shots. (Summer is almost over....)

Nolan's friend Sean came to visit and he really like playing with the chickens. Dad made us a portable chicken coop to keep the chickens safe (and to keep them from hiding their eggs and destroying my garden). We had a lot of fun going to the school to ride our bikes.

We also got to go camping and to the lake. Since dad was there we got to go wakeboarding and inner tubing (no photos of that yet, but the boys had fun)

While grandpa was in town he couldn't keep still as usual so he helped us out by building our back decks for us so we could pass finally. All the guys worked on it. Nolan even helped a bit. The chickens followed grandpa around the whole time he was here and thought it was pretty cool when he was digging around.
