This post never posted....A few pictures with dad.

Bedtime stories

Visiting dad at work for lunch.

I have no idea why I posted this one, I guess to show the cool swords we made at the Zambas birthday party.

September has been a busy month.

We've been trying to pick all the apples and blackberries before they fall off and hopefully we'll get to make some cider and jelly this year.

Caleb has been helping me in the kitchen a little around dinner time.

We put new sand in the sandbox, pressure washed the house, finished painting the shed and tree house and got the volcanoe back out for some dinosaur fun.

The chickens are great and laid a couple of double-yoke eggs for me. The photo with 4 yolks below is only 2 eggs I cracked for my morning veggie scramble.

We also got to go out to Willow Creek for Nolan's best=buddy Cole's birthday party. Nolan has been fine floating around the pool alone with his lifejacket and even swam a few stokes unassisted for the first time. Major progress since before swim lessons where he'd just cling to us in the pool.

Sleepy summer days....

OK it's not really summer, and there's no need to fall asleep on a ski boat, but Caleb finds a way to nap anywhere. As for the rest of the pics...

-Nolan is trying to learn to take better pictures. He got a real close-up of Caleb and I on the boat.
-We found a skink (reptile) in a bark pile at the house and the boys were very gentle.
Scruffy and Roscoe are turning into beautiful roosters and even had a decent (and persistent) crow now. Roscoe did a great job of alerting me to a malicious dog attacking Meg today by running wildly and squaking at the top of his lungs all around the yard while the beast was ripping feathers out of the poor girls (she seems to be OK, but i'm assuming she'll have ptsd and need counseling)
-Boxes make boats and plastic golf clubs make oars. This is why we don't invest in many toys. It's all about the 3 Rs at our house.
Cole and Carson came over for some fun in the sandbox.
-The boys used our peeler/corer/slicer to make some apple cake out of our apples.
-Nolan is very proud of his new Cars shirt from Grammy and insisted I take a picture of it.
